The dairy is a functioning unit offering a hands on experience for students from various fields and schools.
The NAIT Animal Health Technology (AHT) and Veterinary Medical Assistant (VMA) students utilize the U of A dairy barns in various capacities throughout the year. This offers students exposure to large animals and a large animal handling facility.
The dairy barns offer tours several times a year to various groups from around the world. Alumni and Students from the University of Alberta, Grant MacEwan University, NAIT, Olds College, 4H Club, Government agencies, Alberta Agriculture, China, Norway, International vet colleges and several other international locations who have agricultural interests attend tours of these facilities.
